Job Posting – Park & Recreation Field Worker and Grounds Maintenance – June 30 2026
The City of Dadeville is accepting applications for a Park & Recreation Field Worker and Grounds Maintenance position.
Duties include:
- Transporting field workers to work areas and helping line fields for games
- Cleaning and maintaining the Rec Center building and grounds, and assisting senior citizens who use the facility
- Maintaining McKelvey Park, Keebler Park, Fields #1–3, restrooms, press boxes, batting cages, and the old Dixie Youth Field
- Storing, issuing, and maintaining baseball and softball equipment for the Dixie Youth program
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Must have knowledge of and be able to safely operate lawn equipment and apply weed control chemicals. Salary contingent upon experience.

The City of Dadeville is accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary Senior Center Assistant/Driver, working 10-12 hours per week. This position assists with serving in-house and homebound meals, program activities, and transportation for senior participants. Job Summary
Definition and Nature of the Work
Judges preside over trials and hearings in federal, state, and local courts. They rule on the
admissibility of evidence, monitor the testimony of witnesses, and settle disputes between
prosecutors and defense attorneys. When standard procedures do not already exist, judges
establish new rules based on their own knowledge of the law. They must ensure that all
proceedings are fair and protect the legal rights of everyone involved.
Judges often conduct pretrial hearings to determine if the evidence warrants a trial. In criminal
cases they must decide whether to hold defendants in jail pending trial or to set bail and other
conditions for release.
If defendants are found guilty, judges pronounce sentences. They determine verdicts in
cases without juries. City of Dadeville is looking for City Judge who can perform these Duties.
Judge Duties & Responsibilities
Judges perform a variety of tasks inside and outside the courtroom. In the courtroom, they
perform the following duties:
- Hear allegations of the prosecuting and defending parties.
- Listen to witness testimony.
- Rule on the admissibility of evidence.
- Inform defendants of their rights.
- Question witnesses.
- In criminal court, determine the guilt or innocence of criminal defendants and impose sentences
on defendants found guilty.
Judge Skills & Competencies
- In addition to education and other requirements, candidates that possess the following skills may
be able to perform more successfully in the job.
- Logic and reasoning skills: Judges must possess excellent logical reasoning, analytical, and
decision–making skills to analyze a complex case and statutory law and render sound legal
decisions.
Legal knowledge: Thorough knowledge of criminal and civil procedures, jurisdictional rules, and
the court system is critical.
Writing skills: Top–notch writing ability is necessary to draft clear, concise, and well–researched
opinions, bench memoranda, and other legal documents.
